Teachers, artists, and community educators are invited to a one-day institute exploring how storytelling and poetry can foster connection, wellbeing, and learning in Hawaii’s classrooms. The event features keynotes by Moses Goods, Kaliko Ka'auamo, The Maile Grove, King Kekaulike Students, and Youth Speaks poets, with hands-on workshops and a closing circle. Participants will receive a curriculum packet with Pacific-based poetry prompts and culturally grounded approaches to teaching. Teachers in their first seven years are eligible for a $200 stipend.
