Volunteer with the Friends of Haleakala National Park to protect resources in the Kipahulu District of Haleakala National Park. The camping service trip is Friday through Sunday, August 8 to 10. No back-packing is required. Participants will drive to the Kipahulu campground. Shared meals will be prepared in the bunkhouse.
Anticipated work, under the direction of the National Park Service, may include greenhouse cleanup and maintenance, weeding, native plant habitat restoration, lo`i restoration on the Pipiwai trail and more.
