Visit us for FREE at the Hawaiian Islands Humpback Whale National Marine Sanctuary's Visitor Center, located in Kihei! Learn about humpback whales, dolphins, monk seals, sea turtles, and more from our visitor center docents and multimedia exhibits. Discuss the current threats to humpback whales, learn what our researchers and resource protection staff are working in order to better understand the threats to humpback whales and work towards mitigation. Enjoy the views of Kalepolepo fishpond, basking sea turtles, and humpback whales during the winter months from our ocean front lanai. Keiki are welcome and can explore our huge variety of children's books, coloring sheets, crafts, and more!
