Maui Cultural Lands (MCL) is a non-profit organization based on a deep sense of kuleana (responsibility) to care for the land and restore its natural and cultural functions for the environment, the community, and future generations.
MCL operates on the basis of volunteerism and leads restoration at four sites in West Maui at Honokōwai Valley, Kaheawa-Hanaula, Launiupoko and Ukumehame.
Volunteering among Hawaiian archaeological sites, you’ll learn about Hawaiian history and culture as you help to remove invasive weed plants and possibly plant native species.
