Volunteer with Animals at HBC (Animal-Assisted Therapy)

Our therapeutic programs are dedicated to helping children and adults with disabilities, patients and seniors in hospitals, rehabilitation, convalescent, assisted-care, pediatric, adult-day care and Alzheimer facilities.

The Small Animal Pet Therapy Program runs on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from approx 8:00am - 1:00pm.  We visit over 400 patients monthly utilizing small therapy animals (dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks & chickens) for visitation & therapy.  It also offers an unpaid internship for students to learn about the field of Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT) & Animal Assisted-Activities (AAA) in the clinical environment.

The Program Director is Dr. Shannon Dominguez.  You can leave her a message at (808) 572-9129. Or contact us via e-mail at HBCRiding@gmail.com

**Volunteers are needed for all of our therapy programs, without volunteer assistance we would not be able to provide our services.**
