Jazz Maui 2024 Maui Music Series presents the BYU-Hawaii Studio Orchestra 6-8pm Feb 29/24
The Jazz Maui 2024 Maui Music Series presents the Brigham Uoung University-Hawaii Studio Orchestra in a free concert featuring "The Happiest Songs on Earth" at 6pm at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kaanapali.
The BYU Studio Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Daniel Henderson, is a full jazz orchestra of approxiamtely 68 people (basically a big band with strings, harp, extra woodwinds and percussion), including a few singers fronting the orchestra. It brings a fresh, fashionable and comedic new twist to the popular music of the golden age of jazz and Hollywood presenting light, lively and humorous music of the 1940s and 50s.
The concert takes palce on the Luau Grounds at the Royal Lahaina Resort in Kaanapali. Concert goers should park at the Fairway Shops or Whalers Village and take the free shuttle to the hotel.
The Jazz Maui 2024 Maui Music Series is supported by the Hawaii Tourism Authority Community Enrichmane Program.
