Island Cuisine Authentic Thai Food at Paia's Garden
Island Cuisine is the outdoor restaurant on the makai side of Hana Hwy just as you enter Paia. They have ono-licious Thai food that is out of this world. The owner, Nui, has a farm up in Kula where she grows all the vegetables for the restaurant and her mini Farmers' Market on the property. You can't get any fresher than that!
There is a gorgeous oceanfront garden area with picnic tables and a gazebo where you can take your food, which opens onto the beach at Paia Bay. This lovely area is available for weddings and private parties as well. There is a platform for a band and plenty of room to accommodate hundreds of guests... a perfect venue to get married and hold the reception all in one spot.
Island Cuisine offers catering and take-out in addition to dining at the outdoor booths or in the oceanfront garden. You can bring your own beer and wine and make a party of it. This is a family-owned-and-run business done local-style. Do your friends a favor and bring them in for an authentic Thai meal cooked by Nui and her son, Kit. I guarantee, you'll be back.
