MISSION STATEMENT

CalendarMaui.com's mission is to provide an online gathering place where people can learn about the various events planned for the Islands of Maui, Molokai, & Lanai.

In 2001, while planning for a major event to be held the next year, we looked for a community-wide calendar that would provide us with information on events scheduled on a specific date. To our amazement, we could find no such community-wide calendar anywhere.

Having spoken to many individuals in our community, we realized the need for such a community calendar to publicize the events occurring in Maui County over a longer time period. Although local newspapers have a calendar of events, the publications provide event information for that specific week only. We have seen other online community calendars; however, they are not as comprehensive as we would like.

Due to the demand for a long-term comprehensive community events calendar, we decided to establish "CalendarMaui.com" to serve as a reliable reference for Maui County residents and visitors.
