"Living Well with Arthritis" Workshop
The County of Maui Department of Housing and Human Concerns’ Office on Aging announced today it will offer a health management program specifically designed for people living with arthritis and their caregivers. The six-week “Living Well with Arthritis” workshop includes one class per week and will begin Monday, August 2 at Kaiser Permanente’s Maui Lani Clinic located at 55 Maui Lani Parkway in Wailuku. “Living Well with Arthritis” is part of the Stanford Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, which is aimed at helping people with chronic diseases learn how to better manage their conditions to improve their health and quality of life. The program is provided through the Maui County Office on Aging. Advance registration is required, with space limited to 14 participants per class; caregivers are encouraged to attend. Transportation may be available upon request; please inquire by calling 281-0094. The cost for the entire workshop series is $10 for those 60 years and older and $35 for those under 60.
