Maui Chamber of Commerce Mayor's Small Business Awards Dinner

Nominations for the 2019 Mayor’s Small Business Awards are due very soon, Monday, September 9th by 4:30 pm.  This is a new Administration and Mayor Victorino’s first Mayor’s Small Business Awards.  Mayor Victorino has a heart for Maui’s small businesses and spends a lot of his time and resources on helping them.  Mayor Victorino will be looking to Maui’s Business Community to help him support and recognize the small businesses, non-profits, young business people and business owners who have been serving Maui for over twenty years.

To nominate a business or person is very easy and has no cost.  It is just a form, a letter of recommendation and a picture. This can all be emailed to the Chamber. You can find the Nomination form on the Chamber website, www.mauichamber.com.

Then the awards dinner will be held at the King Kamehameha Waikapu Ballroom on September 26, 2019, 5:00-9:00 pm.  It is just like the Academy Awards. Everyone nominated will be celebrated and recognized.  This is a chance to make a small business, non-profit or business person feel acknowledged and appreciated.  As well as making you, the nominator look great for supporting Maui’s businesses. The cost for the dinner, which is Prime Rib with a full Buffet is only $69.00 per person until September 13th.  $79 after September 13th.

The Mayor’s Small Business Awards recognize outstanding businesses in our community that have 100 or fewer employees and have had a Hawaii General Excise Tax license for no fewer than two years. Other criteria include demonstrating business leadership in a changing economic environment, creating a quality work environment for their employees, exhibiting the Aloha Spirit and exemplary customer service, developing partnerships with other sectors of the community, and demonstrating other exceptional qualities or traits.
