Akaku Studio Production Class starts Feb. 6

Akaku: Maui Community Media invites all Maui County residents to join a Studio Production class beginning Wed. Feb. 6 and continuing Feb. 8, 13, & 15, 4pm - 7pm. Classes will take place on Wed. and Fri. evenings in Akaku's Studio "A" at 333 Dairy Rd., Ste. 104 in Kahului.

Creating a TV program from scratch is a fun and exciting challenge and this class will provide participants with a basic understanding of all the roles involved in putting on a show. We'll learn about lighting and audio equipment, cameras and teleprompters, graphic generators and switchers and even get a taste of what it's like to sit in the director's chair!
Certified graduates of this class are invited to become Akaku Producer Associate members and reserve Akaku's Studio "A" to produce their own programs for cablecast on Akaku's community access TV channels. Or you can join the crew of one of our existing shows and build confidence as you gain practical control room experience.
You can register by visiting our offices at 333 Dairy Rd., Ste. 104 in Kauhului, by calling (808) 871-5554 on online at akaku.org

Date: Wednesday, February 6th, 2019 to Friday, February 15th, 2019

Time: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm

Cost: The fee for this class is $200 for adults, $160 for APA members and $100 for youth 18 & under.
