AKAKU BASIC VIDEO STORYTELLING & FIELD PRODUCTION

Want to make a video story to share? This class will give you the basics in field video production and ENG story skills, both the interview process and news narration! Students will learn cameras and field production methods, including basic framing, lighting, and sound techniques. Students will also produce short videoʻs for ʻhands-onʻ projects! Upon completion of the class, students will be able to produce a short video story, edit and prepare the video for distribution.

Certified students will have use of Akakū’s access producers camera kits and Final Cut Pro edit suites.

Class is offered every other month, is 24 class hours and held over 8 days.

July 20, 23, 30 & August 3, 6, 10, 13, 20

Class Limits: Minimum: 3 Maximum: 6

Class Prerequisite: Basic computer literacy skills & Introduction to Akakū.
