Volunteer Leadership Mastery Training to be Held on Maui
The County of Maui Department of Housing and Human Concerns, Volunteer Center, announced it is hosting a leadership mastery training on Friday, March 24, 2017 from 8 a.m. to noon.
“Create Balance, Inspire Others & Sustain Excellence” is an interactive, inspiring and informative training designed specifically for the volunteer leaders of Maui County. The training will be led by Patricia Varley, a global trainer and certified executive and life coach with more than 30 years of experience.
Workshop highlights include: Creating balance – time management, setting priorities, organizational skills, clear decision making, work/life balance. Inspiring others – Share your enthusiasm, vision and mission; attract and maintain the right volunteers for your team. Identifying the value and key benefits you offer new and existing volunteers; Sustaining excellence – commit to focus on continuity and professional development to excel and thrive; and Staying up to date with volunteerism and market trends.
“Being a masterful leader in these times of change and possibility is necessary to grow, influence and impact a successful volunteer program,” said Wendy Stebbins, Volunteer Center Coordinator. “This training will focus on providing the tools, techniques and coaching you need to Create Balance, Inspire Others, and Sustain Excellence within your organization.”

Location Details: MEDB, the acronym for Maui Economic Development Board, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. It was established in 1982 to initially focus on diversifying Maui's economy. At the time of MEDB's formation, Maui's economy was dependent on agriculture and tourism, both of which were vulnerable to forces beyond the community's control.
