9th Life Hawaii's Spay & Neuter Clinic for Cats

Two beautiful gray kittens  Bright-eyed kitty  Two baby cats

9th Life Hawaii, Maui's only non-profit, No Kill All Cat Rescue & Sanctuary is holding a 6-day cat spay/neuter clinic July 3, 5, 7, 10, 11, & 13th, 2010. The cats can be pets, ferals, or cats that just showed up at your property for a handout. However, we do NOT sterilize pregnant cats. We have set a goal of sterilizing at least 350 cats over the 6 day clinic. Call promptly as slots are limited.

Please give us your name, phone number, number of cats, their sex and ages, and your snail mail address or your email address so we can send you a surgical consent form along with instructions. We prefer you correspond with us via email to save postage and paper.

Volunteers will pick up the cats all over Maui and transport the cats to and from the clinics. Donations are gratefully accepted and very much needed so these clinics can be continued. We suggest a $35 donation; however, as always, clinics are free to those in hardship situations.

9th Life Hawaii has helped our community sterilize more than 2,600 cats since we began our spay/neuter clinics to humanely control the cat population.

It is just as important to neuter the male cats as well as the females. When you neuter the male cats, it should eliminate spraying, fighting, and wandering. By curtailing the fighting you eliminate the number one way that serious cat diseases are transmitted to OTHER cats.

9th Life Hawaii's goal is to humanely and non-lethally reduce cat overpopulation island-wide by sterilizing as many cats as possible as often as we can. For more information about 9th Life Hawaii, to view adoptable kitties, or to see how you can help, please call 573-3365 or visit www.9thlifehawaii.org.

Let's spread aloha to the kitties too!

Call 573-3365 to schedule a pick-up.

Location Details:

9th Life Hawaii is Maui's only non-profit NO KILL All Cat Rescue & Sanctuary. We provide FREE or low-cost spay/neuters for cats on Maui at mass clinics held every 5-6 weeks depending on when the vet is available. We spay and neuter daily by individual appointment. We also provide sanctuary (as our space allows) for cats in harm's way and have a nursery for newborn and orphaned kittens.

We have neutered over 2600 cats. More than 25% of the cat surgeries were free for people on Maui who would otherwise be unable to afford the sterilizations. It is important to spay and neuter as many cats as we can because the cat overpopulation results in 8 out of 10 cats not making it out alive from the Maui Humane Society. The cats' only crime: they were homeless.

9th Life currently provides sanctuary for about 250 cats that were in harm's way. There is no doubt they would not be alive today without 9th Life Hawaii. We have proven that adult feral cats and feral kittens can become tame, affectionate pets. All it takes is love.
