2012 Cycle to the Sun
Cyclists from around the world are invited to compete in a legendary 36 mile uphill race on Maui from beachside Paia to the 10,000 foot summit of Haleakala on Saturday, August 25, 2012. The race, often described as the longest, steepest race course on Earth, starts at 6:30 a.m. Riders can register individually or as a three person relay team. Entry fee is $200 for the individual full race, or $300 for the three person relay team. A $25 late fee is added for entries after August 6. Due to National Park limitations, only 200 entries for the individual and relay races (combined) can be accepted. For information and to enter, visit www.cycletothesun.com.
