Wailuku's First Friday

Wailuku greets the new year with new banners, new music, some mix of new vendors and a new breath of revival.

The Maui Redevelopment Agency has been at the side of Wailuku's revitalization for decades and supported Wailuku First Friday from its inception.  On January 6th, the MRA unveils its new street beautification project, created by Sig Zane designer and Hokulani Holt Padilla.   See the new Wailuku Banners unveiled!, Maui Thing stage, 6:15 pm

Wailuku Community Association does a multi cultural blessing and Maui Taiko drums in the New Year, Maui Thing stage, 6:30 pm

Then follow the Ben Seng Au, Maui lion dancers and feed the lion lycee for good luck in the new year of the Dragon, at If the Shoe Fits, 7:00 pm

The party continues with live music, Maui Rumba at Banyan Tree Park; Gene Argel at Cafe O Lei, Visibly Shaken at Gionnatos Pizza come greet the new year at Wailuku First Friday, for a free community party, under the Maui moon!

Beer garden, live music, artisans up and down the sidewalk.. and see family, friends and the community!!
